What is your heart’s desire? A spouse? A baby of your own? Do you dream of owning your own home, car or business? God still does miracles. Here is Elzanne Joubert's testimony:

Elzanne: “From a very young age, my dream was to be a mum - specifically of a boy and a girl. For five years, however, I did not fall pregnant. My husband, Willem and I tried everything (home remedies, artificial insemination, in vitro). Nothing worked. I cannot describe the pain every time I heard about another friends’ pregnancy. I wanted to be happy, but it confronted me with my own barrenness.

The last time we did in vitro, I had an expectation in my heart. The night before our visit to the doctor, I read Isaiah 54:1: “‘Sing, barren woman, you who never bore a child; burst into song, shout for joy, you who were never in labor . . .”To me it was a promise that I will be pregnant. I wasn’t. I was disappointed and angry. I could not understand why God wouldn’t make me fall pregnant.

A school friend called me the very next day. She said she experienced in her prayer time that God wanted to give us a child, but that He wanted us to trust Him completely to do it. A month later, in January 2011, a lady I don't see often called me saying that as she prayed for us, she felt led to give us Romans 12: 1: “Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God . . .” She reminded me that my body is a temple of God. Also that special blessing awaited us in 2011. A third confirmation came through a Verse-a-Day devotion.

Together with my husband we decided to stop medical intervention and trust God for a miracle. With this I am not saying medical help is wrong. I think that in our case I relied too much on doctors and too little on God. He wanted that to change. Our prayers changed from that day onward. Instead of begging for a child, we started thanking God in faith that by December of that year we would hold our baby.

Two months later I was pregnant. Our boy was born in November that year, a month before Christmas. Twenty two months later we found out we were pregnant with our little girl!

Today I have my boy and girl – everything I longed for and more. All honor goes to Him that truly sees us!”

Elzanne is right. God SEES us as we pray. In Psalm 33:13-15 we read: “The Lord looks down from heaven and sees the whole human race. From his throne he observes all who live on the earth. He made their hearts, so he understands everything they do.” And in 2 Chronicles 16: 9 we read, “For the eyes of the Lord range throughout the earth to strengthen those whose hearts are fully committed to him.”

God knows what we need and also what the right timing is to receive it. Let us continue to trust Him and allow Him to show us His glory. God bless

Father God, thank you that I can walk towards the future without fear and worry. I bring (name the area) to You and in faith thank you for the breakthrough on the way. I ask this in the Name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
