For this is the message that you have heard from the beginning, that “we should love one another.” 1 John 3:11

Wouldn’t it be wonderful if we could all be extravagant and able to buy anything our heart desires? Not so easy on most budgets. However, nothing stops us from being extravagant when it comes to love! Love is the one treasure that multiplies when divided amongst others. It is the one gift that multiplies the more you give away. Try it! It pays to give it away. Be generous with love. Waste it! Empty you pockets! Spill it, for tomorrow you will have even more of it.

Keep in mind that love is not planted in your heart for it to stay there. In effect, love is not love until you’ve given it away. If we are able to give away love, just think how much God is able to give. These words were found written on a wall in a mental hospital.

Someone once wrote, "Could we with ink the ocean fill, and were the sky of parchment made, were every stalk on earth a quill, and every man a scribe by trade; to write the love of God above, would drain the ocean dry, nor could the scroll contain the whole though stretched from sky to sky.”

Prayer: God, what do I write on my daily tablet? Do I even consider the impact of my words, either good or bad, have on those I meet by the wayside. Heal my mouth, my mind and my heart to speak words of comfort, encouragement and healing. Amen
